Summer has almost arrived in NYC, and there are already a bunch of fun activities and events to choose from. Check out our fun guide for some of the best that NYC has to offer this summer.
Bubble Football
PC: Body Zorbing
Have you ever wanted to play soccer while wearing a huge, inflatable bubble? Here’s your chance! Each player wears a plastic bubble from thigh to head while playing soccer on a grass field. Book your game in advance and check out the location that’s convenient for you. Get ready and bring your game face!
Smorgasburg

Do you consider yourself a foodie? Then, Smorgasburg is literally your paradise! It’s open every Saturday in Williamsburg and every Sunday in Prospect Park from 11am to 6pm. Bring enough cash to try everything (though most stalls accept credit cards) and try to sample a range of different bites.
Triplemint Tip: Bad weather doesn’t matter, these guys are out every weekend, rain or shine.
Beach Volleyball
PC: Etienne Frossard
Playing beach volleyball could be one of the greatest outdoor sports during the summer in NYC. TriBeCa’s Pier 25 beach volleyball courts give you 360-degree views of the water and the city skyline. You can take the A, C, E, 1, 2, or 3 trains, or take the M20 and M22 buses to get there. Another good spot for some sand and sun is Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Pier 6, though it’s BYOB (bring your own ball).
Kayaking
PC: Noah
Feel like doing some water activities? Spend the afternoon kayaking on the Hudson River with your family or friends. Learn more about free kayaking opportunities at Pier 26 and Pier 96.
At Hudson River Park, they also offer kayaking trips and classes that vary by different piers.
Luna Park

Are you a rollercoaster lover or thrill seeker? Plan a day at Luna Park and enjoy their exciting rides, games, and various dining options. Luna Park has a long history, with the park originally opening in 1903. Nowadays, some of the must-try rollercoasters are the Thunderbolt and Cyclone. If you need a break from the excitement, take a stroll down the Coney Island boardwalk, dip your feet in the ocean, or try the famous hot dogs at Nathan’s Hot Dogs. To get to Coney Island, take the D, F, N, or Q train.
