GLOBAL
The Agency Founder and CEO Mauricio Umansky penned an article for HousingWire on the three lessons he took away from his recent six-week stint on “Dancing with the Stars” and how they translate to a successful career in real estate.
Mauricio Umansky was joined by President Rainy Austin in Central Texas for The Agency’s annual Forum. The Real Deal reported that both leaders offered the 800 agents in attendance reasons to remain optimistic and tips for navigating market headwinds.
In an article for Inman, Rainy Austin outlined seven strategic steps for agents to successfully weather the market challenges ahead in 2024.
Mansion Global rounded up the five best alternative real estate markets to Las Vegas for buyers in search of warm weather and more palatable prices. Alison Cahill of The Agency Scottsdale, Juan Diaz Rivera from the Cabo office, Molly Jones from the Salt Lake City office, and Jeff Kohl from the Palm Springs office all weighed in on the allure of their respective markets.
TEXAS
Costar reported that The Agency is set to open a new office in Austin’s RiverSouth Building in early 2024.
CALIFORNIA
Mauricio Umansky and Zach Goldsmith’s zen-like listing in Holmby Hills was featured in The Wall Street Journal. Recently completed by the Kohen Development Group, the home is centered around a live olive tree with three glass walls and a water feature.
Bianca Boey of The Agency Venice was interviewed by Martha Hayes for her Substack newsletter That’s So LA, spilling all the tea on what it’s really like to work in the city’s real estate market.
Realtor.com reported that Britney Spears’s childhood home had been listed for nearly $1M more than its market value. Positioning the property as a piece of pop cultural history is a marketing tactic that The Agency’s Jamie Camp lauded as “brilliant.”

Zach Goldsmith spoke with Bloomberg about the challenges in Los Angeles’s luxury rental market, noting that with the recent Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA, the supply of mansions in Bel Air and Beverly Hills far exceeded demand.
Michael Grady’s Playa Del Rey listing was featured in The New York Times’s “What You Get” series comparing $3M homes across California. OHIO
David Ayers spoke with Mansion Global about a historic and beautifully renovated chalet outside Cleveland that he recently listed in partnership with Nick Zawitz. MOGO Group founders Molly Jones and Joey Sutorius of The Agency Salt Lake City were featured in Inman’s Broker Spotlight, detailing the secrets of their success and plans to redefine the area’s luxury real estate market.
Inman also put the spotlight on David Ellis, Managing Partner of The Agency St. George. He shared his top tips, career highlights and some predictions for the year ahead.
DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
Caribbean Journal reported that Santiago Arana and Steven Ankrom listed a villa at the Casa de Campo Resort and Vilas in La Ramona for $27.5M. David Bakowksy, Christina Clavero and Carlos Clavero of The CB Group at The Agency’s Oakville office made headlines for a record-setting sale in Ontario’s Burlington neighborhood. According to InsideHalton.com and The Hamilton Spectator, the home — which sold for $7.8M — was among October’s largest transactions.
Joshua Jagerman and John Faratro were both featured in a La Presse piece highlighting the growing luxury market in Quebec, particularly for Montrealers looking for homes in the Laurentians region.
The Standard reported that Scott Fishman and Rebecca Kelly recently listed the opulent custom-built Villa De La Creme in Niagara-on-the-Lake for CA$6.5M.
