by | Dec 28, 2022

From a peek behind-the-scenes of Buying Beverly Hills to professional profiles and luxe listings, see the agents, properties and stories capping off another wildly successful year for The Agency. Cheers to making more headlines in 2023.

California

The Hollywood Reporter spoke with the stars of The Agency’s new Netflix series Buying Beverly Hills. The Agency Founder and CEO Mauricio Umansky spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about how the new series brought his family, including Farrah Brittany and Alexia Umansky, closer together while providing a real look into the “cutthroat, intense” world of luxury real estate transactions.

Featured in Mansion Global, Jill Fusari’s listing at 115 Stephanie Lane sold for a record-breaking $9.25M in just two weeks — the most expensive deal this year in the San Ramon Valley. “The sale was an important one to show the demand at this higher end [of the market] is still alive and well,” Jill wrote to the publication. The French Country-style mansion boasts five ensuite bedrooms, a hidden speakeasy bar and detached guest cottage.

The Agency officially welcomed  Zach Goldsmith and Jennifer Plotkin last month, as reported in the December issue of The Real Deal. The powerhouse team closed more than $110M in transactions in 2021. Now backed by The Agency’s in-house creative, cutting-edge technology and boutique approach, these two are ones to watch.

The New York Times’s favorite What You Get series featured Andrea Korchek’s Beverly Hills listing at 2920 Hutton Drive. Nestled between the San Fernando Valley and Sunset Boulevard, the private gated home offers easy access to nearby hiking trails, a bright open layout that celebrates California indoor-outdoor living and ample parking for $4.495M.

CoStar recently profiled Managing Partner Nurit Coombe, tracking her career from the Israeli Army to leading The Agency’s office in Washington D.C., and establishing a new office in the Dominican Republic. “In the military, there’s so much you learn in life and about the world,” she explained. “You grow up quickly [and] that defined a lot of my personality about being responsible and trustworthy.”

Texas

Austin Woman spoke with Managing Partner Ana Ruelas about her involvement in the Center for Child Protection’s biggest event of the year, Dancing With the Stars Austin. More than a fundraiser, this DWTS Austin brings the community together to get children in abusive or at-risk situations the support they need and deserve. “It’s about ensuring abuse is gone from their lives,” says Ana. Trevor Musgrove was quoted in a piece by Investment Monitor highlighting the stable high demand for property in the Caribbean. Having witnessed transaction volume climb to more than $335M among the islands, Trevor advises his investors to plan ahead and build now “because prices will only continue to go up everywhere.”

As reported in Inman, The Agency has once again established itself as a leader in real estate technology, partnering with MREIT to open a new Turks and Caicos office in — wait for the — the metaverse.

The full-floor residence features the highest-end finishes, five-star amenities and endless views of the city.

Virginia

The Virginia Pilot reported on the opening of The Agency’s first Virginia office, which joins a growing network of more than 65 offices in the U.S. and abroad. The Cheseapeake office will be led by Alan and Betsy Thompson, “two of the most accomplished real estate agents in the area… [who] will be incredible stewards of our brand and culture,” according to Founder and CEO Mauricio Umansky

Michigan

Meredith Colburn made an appearance in SEEN Magazine, offering her expert take on the current real estate market. “For now, the market has just leveled out,” she said. “Well priced and well-presented homes will always attract buyers. If you put your best foot forward, you will prevail.”

Dominican Republic

The Agency debuted a new office in the Dominican Republic, marking the firm’s 69th global partner among its growing network of offices around the world. The new office is The Agency’s fourth location in the Caribbean, following the Bahamas, Turks & Caicos and the Cayman Islands. The local team will be led by real estate industry leaders Edward De Valle II, Nurit Coombe, Alex Martinez, Juan Diaz Rivera, and Paige and Peter Torkan
