The Agency team really does “clean up” well! On August 24, our offices and agents across the globe came together to clean up coastlines, parks, lakes, sidewalks and more. Teamwork and philanthropy are at the core of The Agency’s mission, and we’re always looking for ways to make a positive impact on our local communities. From building homes for those in need to helping clean up the planet, we strive to make our neighborhoods welcoming, beautiful places to live and ensure a legacy for many years to come.
For this year’s Global Clean-Up Day, our amazing team of worldwide volunteers participated in 543 combined hours of clean-up across 21 locations, gathering a total of 1,136 pounds of trash collectively. The various clean-up sites ranged from the U.S. to Canada and Mexico, including Greater L.A., the San Fernando Valley, Northern California, Boston, New York City, Washington D.C., Montréal as well as La Paz, Los Cabos and San Miguel de Allende.
In Washington D.C., our agents found some unusual items during their clean-up of the Sligo Mill Nature Conservation Area—including a bed frame and car tires—while The Agency Arizona joined the operations team at beloved Scottsdale fitness center Club SAR and assisted them in tidying up the building. In Ontario, the Muskoka Water Police joined in to help pull garbage from the floor of Lake Muskoka alongside our local agents.
In Santa Cruz, our NorCal team cleaned up local Seabright State Beach while Toronto agents took to the streets of Downtown and our NYC crew tidied up in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, at Cuyler Gore Park. We’re also giving a big round of applause to our San Fernando Valley offices, who came together and cleaned up 210 pounds of trash from Ventura Boulevard—the most gathered by any team this year.
Thanks to everyone who participated in this year’s clean-up effort! Each and every one of you made a difference.
