The month of March marks an important time for dedicated reflection, appreciation and celebration of women throughout history. In honor of this year’s Women’s History Month, The Agency brought together four powerful female leaders in business to share their unique and inspiring career stories. This discussion marked the inaugural episode of The Agency’s new live panel series, ShaRE, a monthly event that features incredible guests discussing a range of topics from timely real estate news to lifestyle content and moving personal stories.
On Wednesday, March 8th, The Agency brought together Julia Hunter, CEO of Jenni Kayne, Tina Necrason, EVP of Residential at Montage International, Raegan Moya-Jones, Co-founder of aden + anais and author of What It Takes and Rainy Hake Austin, President of The Agency, to discuss their inspiring career journeys and learn from their accomplishments. Moderated by The Agency founder and CEO, Mauricio Umanksy, the panel discussion dived into topics such as how to overcome challenges, what makes a brand successful and how to grow a business into a global $100M+ success.
Throughout the hour-long discussion, the main themes that emerged from the group were those that centered around perseverance, determination and kindness to oneself and others. “Throughout my career, I have taken pride in being a creative, strategic thinker who is first and foremost empathetic,” said Rainy. “My people come first and that’s always at the center of my work. Because of this, I learned at an early age to check my ego at the door and allow others to shine with me. I have also learned to become comfortable with the uncomfortable because that’s where the magic happens.”
