About Rueben Schatz

Rueben Schatz

A seasoned real estate professional with over $21 million in 2024 sales volume, Rueben’s background includes 13 years with the Gotham Group and 8 years at the Michael Lorber Team, where he cultivated a clientele of high-net-worth investors. His financial acumen, honed at Smith Barney and Merrill Lynch, powers his sharp investment strategies. Rueben’s standout listings include 303 East 57th Street #34G and 148 Attorney Street #PH and notable closings include 182 Franklin Street ($14.5M) and 154 Attorney Street, which he’s sold three times—most recently for $6.4M. Rueben is also a familiar name in The New York Post, The Real Deal, and Robb Report.

Why He Joined The Agency

“After eight years working together at the Michael Lorber Team, we were ready to take everything we’d learned and build something of our own,” Rueben explains. “We hadn’t planned to leave our respective brokerages, but The Agency’s culture and energy just felt right.”

About Cameron Begg

Cameron Begg

With a design-forward mindset and deep knowledge of New York’s neighborhoods, Cameron has closed over $12 million in 2024 alone. His path to real estate included a successful run in luxury fashion, which informs his discerning approach to architecture and craftsmanship. Recent wins include 182 Franklin Street ($14.5M), 651 Washington Street ($6.75M), and 39 Willow Place ($5.35M), and 22 Schermerhorn Street  ($5.3M). Cameron brings warmth, precision, and a client-first philosophy to every transaction.

Why He Joined The Agency

“Starting a team with Rueben, my childhood friend, was an exciting full-circle moment for me—but choosing The Agency was just as important in our decision to join forces,” said Cameron. “The brand has such a keen eye and aesthetic for luxury real estate that aligns perfectly with our personalities and vision. There couldn’t be a better place to showcase the properties we want to represent.”

Going Big(ger) in the Big Apple: Market Insight from Cameron Begg

“We’ve noticed a growing trend in the West Village/Tribeca: the stereotypical uptown homeowner is heading downtown in search of mass square footage, often combining multiple properties to create their own mega single-family homes,” notes Cameron. “They’re not just buying one townhouse—they are assembling two or three, or in search of converting an entire building. The demand for large-scale residences is growing fast, and we’ve already seen several bidding wars as this trend continues in the current market.”

Welcome to The Agency family, Rueben and Cameron!
