The Agency was moving and shaking the real estate world this March, with stellar agents and impressive listings making headlines in The New York Times, Mansion Global, The Los Angeles Business Journal, Inman, Variety and many more. Here’s what our busy agents have been up to this month.
THE AGENCY—Inman covered The Agency’s exciting expansion with new offices in California, Connecticut and Ontario, as part of our strategic growth plan. We are thrilled to be welcoming New Canaan, Oakville and Studio City to The Agency family.
MAURICIO UMANSKY—Not only was Mauricio featured on the Los Angeles Business Journal’s exclusive list of top 100 residential real estate agents in L.A. county, but he was also included in a special feature, “The Agency’s Umansky Has a Way With High-End Properties,” where he spoke about his role as an agent and the face of The Agency.
9344 NIGHTINGALE DRIVE—This exquisite L.A. home listed by Mauricio Umansky, James Harris, and David Parnes was showcased by Variety. An architectural masterpiece from start to finish, 9344 Nightingale Drive is architect Zoltan Pali’s most recent work, constructed by award-winning builder Dugally Oberfeld. This new modern mansion stuns from the outset with its distinct wing shape paying homage to its Nightingale Drive locale.
JAMES HARRIS—The Wall Street Journal highlighted James in its discussion on the full cost of buying a luxury property. In the piece, James advises buyers to do their due diligence before purchasing: “If it means hiring someone to do a thorough investigation, spend that money upfront because it will save you money on the back end.”

WINDERMERE LEEWARD—A stunning five-bedroom luxury Caribbean villa in the exclusive neighborhood of Leeward in Providenciales, Turks & Caicos Islands, Windermere was featured by Mansion Global in “Castles Fit for a Modern-Day Prince or Princess.” Ian Hurdle was quoted, saying “It has a long lap pool that starts at the front door, goes under the house, and out to the canal in the back. It’s not a moat, but it’s very impressive visually.” Sean O’Neill and Katherine Baryluk are representing the exquisite home with Ian.
7475 FRANKLIN AVENUE—As featured on Realtor.com, actor Walton Goggins has put his glamorous Hollywood Hills house on the market, listed by Josh Myler. “The five-bedroom, three-bathroom home is extraordinary in a number of ways,” reported Realtor.com. “Chief among them is the fact that it was designed and built by Harold Ogden Sexsmith in 1927, and has only traded hands three times since.”
609 E CHANNEL ROAD—Pure real estate eye candy, 609 E Channel Road was showcased by Los Angeles Confidential in an exclusive feature. Listed by Santiago Arana and home to Vice Media executive chair Shane Smith, the spectacular, ultra-private Villa Ruchello is an entirely self-contained, 3.35-acre, tree-lined compound without compare on the Westside of Los Angeles.
EL ANGEL AZUL, LA PAZ—Joanne Berkowitz and Alejandro Mitre’s gorgeous listing made New York Times headlines in a feature “House Hunting in Mexico: A 19th-Century Courthouse Turned Hacienda,” which tells the story of this unique property in La Paz. “It has been a Chinese imports retail shop, a courthouse, an art gallery and, for several decades after the court moved to a modern government building, a forgotten relic. The current owner bought it in 1996 and transformed it into a boutique hotel called El Angel Azul,” writes The Times. Read the full story here.
1401 SAN REMO—Eric Haskell is representing Matt Damon’s ultra-private, zen-inspired home in Pacific Palisades, which RISMedia highlighted: “This marks the first time that Damon and his best friend, fellow A-lister Ben Affleck, will be living apart from one another. The two have lived together in the same cities since they both attended Cambridge Rindge and Latin high school in Cambridge, Massachusetts.”
