Organic Elegance Meets Modern Luxury: Tour 17321 Rancho Street with Adam Rosenfeld

by | Oct 10, 2024

17321 Rancho Street is a sophisticated estate set within a private enclave of Encino, California. Represented by Adam Rosenfeld and Ray Akbari, this 14,000-square-foot home is the epitome of Southern California luxury, offering seven bedrooms, 11 baths and a seamless mix of modern and organic elements.

Recently featured in a tour on The Luxury Home Show, Rosenfeld describes the home as “designed to impress” from the moment you step inside. “It creates tremendous depth and enormous volume,” he says, referring to the 34-foot ceilings and grand entryway. The home’s mix of natural stone and white oak finishes establishes a sense of organic elegance throughout.

“The home feels like it was created in Montecito, but once outside, it’s like you’re at a resort in Mexico,” Rosenfeld explains. The outdoor spaces are a true retreat, featuring a cabana, a guest house, and lush drought-resistant landscaping. Additional outdoor amenities enhance the resort feel, including a zero-edge pool, outdoor kitchen, and pizza oven.

Anchoring the design is a century-old oak tree, protected by local conservation laws. “It became an integral part of the architecture,” Rosenfeld notes, seamlessly blending the tree into the estate’s design.

Rosenfeld emphasizes the home’s ethos of organic luxury. “The home spotlights organic features everywhere,” he explains, noting the use of unfilled travertine, which he describes as “absolutely timeless.” This natural stone flows throughout the home, including fireplaces and floor spaces, grounding the residence in earthy warmth.

Indoor-outdoor living is another hallmark of the design, with custom Steel Case doors that pocket away entirely. “This seamless connection to the outdoors is why people come to Southern California,” Rosenfeld says, highlighting one of the estate’s standout features. The kitchen features dual islands of Taj Mahal quartzite. Designed for both family living and large-scale entertaining, the kitchen also includes a hidden catering area for more formal events. For intimate family moments, a custom breakfast nook with a bay window offers a cozy spot to gather.

The primary suite is an oasis of luxury, with two private balconies overlooking the lush backyard. “You get an epic view of the waterfall that cascades into the pool,” Rosenfeld shares. The suite’s dual bathrooms and closets are designed with opulence in mind. “Separate bathrooms and closets are key to a happy marriage,” he jokes, noting the developer’s attention to detail with natural stone finishes and steam showers.

The lower level is all about relaxation and entertainment. A state-of-the-art home theater, temperature-controlled wine cellar, gym, and wellness space create an all-inclusive experience. In addition, a secondary outdoor pool offers a serene space for yoga, pilates, or leisurely swimming.

Situated in Encino, an under-the-radar celebrity hub in Southern California, the property offers more value for the price compared to neighborhoods like Beverly Hills. “You get more house and land for your money,” Rosenfeld says, underscoring the rare combination of space and luxury that this home delivers.
