As winter comes to an end, we’re excited for opportunities to get outside, reconnect with friends, and give back to our community. Spring cleaning does not only have to be about decluttering your home—it can be a chance to shed old habits and try something new!
In that spirit, here are some events we are excited about in Hoboken, Jersey City, and Newark this month that will inspire you to have a great start to the season.
Party with a Purpose – Hoboken
Enjoy a night filled with great food and live music in support of local children charities. Participate in the silent auction as you enjoy appetizers and dance, all for a good cause. This month’s event is benefiting organizations such as local Big Brothers Big Sisters and TRUE Mentors in Hoboken.

Black Maria Film Festival – Hoboken
Watch diverse, acclaimed short films in this traveling film festival, stopping in Hoboken for one night only this month. The films selected for screening shine a light on issues and subjects often overlooked in other film festivals, offering you the chance to see one-of-a-kind films you may not see elsewhere.
The mission of the film festival is to share short films of all genres that push the boundaries of the medium, so do not miss your chance to catch this screening while it is in town. The feature film in Hoboken will be “The #1 Bus Chronicles” by award-winning documentarian Joel Katz.

A Taste of Hoboken – Hoboken
Your local favorites are coming together for a cause this month. Enjoy your night filled with delicious food and wine from 14 restaurants, all with a stunning view of the New York City skyline as a backdrop. Mac and Cheese Festival – Hoboken
Dig in at Hoboken’s cheesiest event: an entire day dedicated to mac and cheese! Now in its second year, the festival is bigger than ever with 12 vendors serving up their take on the classic dish. The event was hugely popular last year, and the organizers are bringing in live music, contests, swag, and more this year.
Portions of the proceeds of the event will be donated to local charities. Tickets to the event grant guests samples from each of the vendors, so come hungry and support local restaurants and nonprofits.

Beethoven’s Birthday Bash – Newark
Ring in the spring season with a night out with an impressive tour de force: acclaimed pianist Louis Lortie will perform all five Beethoven piano concertos at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center.
Taking place across two programs, this performance is a rare opportunity to experience these masterpieces together, played by a world-class musician. Louis Lortie performs around the world and joins the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra to celebrate some of Beethoven’s greatest work.
Event dates:

Jersey City Craft Beer Festival – Jersey City
