If you’re a fan of the arts than you most likely find yourself in the Lincoln Square neighborhood often. It is home to and named for Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. The neighborhood’s borders are 59th street to the south and 72nd street to the north. There is some debate as to where the western limit of this neighborhood is located. Some say it ends at Amsterdam Avenue while others believe it extends all the way to 12th Avenue. Lincoln Center’s three buildings Avery Fisher Hall, David H. Koch Theatre, and Metropolitan Opera House are the epicenter of the area. The Juilliard School is also situated here, making it one of most famous areas for performance.

When you’re looking for some time to kill before attending a performance, the Time Warner Center is the best shopping to be had in this neighborhood. The Shops at Columbus Circle have everything from designers (Michael Kors, Coach, Armani, Hugo Boss, and Burberry) to some of the most exquisite food at Per se and Porter House, just to name a few.
