Say hello to Frisco! Located just 25 minutes from Downtown Dallas, Frisco is one of the state’s most popular and fastest-growing cities. Frisco’s diverse real estate landscape encompasses a range of family-friendly communities and modern, amenity-rich developments—all surrounded by parks, trails, restaurants, sports and entertainment. Managing Partner of The Agency Frisco, Heather Stevens, gives us an inside take on what this fast-growing region of North Texas has to offer.
What kind of growth have you seen in Frisco?
Frisco has become one of the most attractive places to live in Texas. Many professionals and families are drawn to the area due to the highly rated schools, great cost of living, and endless work opportunities. The presence of large companies like The PGA Headquarters, Amazon, and the soon-to-come Universal Kids Resort, certainly adds to the attraction!
What areas or neighborhoods are you seeing buyers show the most interest in right now?
We are definitely spoiled here in North Texas—we have so many home options! Many developers are creating master-planned communities that offer amenities such as crystal-clear lagoons for canoeing and beach recreation, as well as community events that bring people together. We find that a large portion of our clients are also looking for homes that sit on larger lots so that they have more space.
What is the vibe of the city?
Frisco is growing quickly, but we have still been able to maintain a great sense of connectivity and community here. Our city and its surrounding suburbs are friendly, welcoming and full of life.
What are your favorite things to do in the city?
You can always find something new to do here in Frisco! Some of my favorite activities are attending wine festivals and sporting events like a soccer game at FC Dallas, or a Rough Riders baseball game. There are lots of options for outdoor dining, too, and several new restaurants have opened at The Star (home of the Dallas Cowboys practice facility). There is also no lack of parks or trails to spend a day outside with your family.

What kind of homes do you see in Frisco?
With the recent growth in Frisco, most of what you find are newer-built single-family homes. There are still new communities developing with options for new construction homes, along with luxury condos overlooking The Star, which is a main hub for entertainment. For clients who desire more space and country living, there are many properties with acreage located just north of Frisco.
Are there any home amenities or features that buyers are really drawn to right now?
With remote workers relocating to the area, private home offices have been a must on most buyers’ checklists. Another popular request is multi-generational homes. Of course with the Texas heat, a pool is very desirable as well!
What kind of buyers do you see coming to Frisco?
We see a large number of people relocating from coastal states such as California, New York, and Florida. We have seen many people from the Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan Area also moving further north to have the luxury of a larger space while maintaining the convenience of the city amenities. Again, space is a huge perk!
What do you think is ahead for the Frisco market?
We will continue to see growth in Frisco but we are also seeing a large influx of buyers move into the up-and-coming surrounding areas such as Prosper and Celina. We’re growing and there is so much for our region to look forward to!
