Our 30th Build Day in partnership with Giveback Homes was held on September 13 in West Seattle, Washington. The Agency team came together to flex their framing and beam-hoisting skills, preparing a new home for a local family. The office also raised $5,240 to go towards providing housing for those in need.
This home is part of a larger project at Highland Terrace—12 homes that will be permanently affordable. This specific residence will go to the Lucas family, who currently live in the Delridge neighborhood. LeChelle and her two children, Evan and Kennedy, are excited to move in. “Homeownership means stability, safety and finally a real place to call home!” said LeChelle.
Joy was spread across everyone’s faces as they worked, chatted and laughed in the warm weather. “It turns out Eric Gouge is really quite skilled at building!” said Managing Partner Jen Cameron. “He was definitely the MVP of the day—as well as Mohamud Adbi who would not give up until the job was done.”
Joining Jen were Senior Vice President of Franchise Operations Tara Scholl-Gettles, Agent Experience Manager Tawni Roberts and Marketing Account Manager Alhan Pirjamali Neisiani as well as agents Mohamud Adbi, Eric Gouge, Jaimie Gouge, Melissa Harris, Tracey Campbell, Kristi Jenkins, Kari Hull, Alee Heider, Joey Jagod, Susan Culverhouse and Piper Troxlier.
“Our team felt like we were truly making a difference in someone’s life—and that’s an empowering feeling to have,” noted Jen. “I think the experience also made us aware that we’re much better at selling houses than building them! But nonetheless, it was a truly special day.”
