The Agency Charlotte recently celebrated its inaugural Giveback Homes Build Day in partnership with Habitat for Humanity, held in the heart of Charlotte’s Pinecrest neighborhood. The team met at 2849 James Street to prime and paint the interior of a brand-new home for a local resident and her two children.
The day buzzed with energy as volunteers painted to music, working alongside the home recipient, who eagerly joined in. Her son attended the daycare right across the street and her book-loving daughter was eager to explore the nearby public library.
Leading the effort was Abigail Hines Miller, Managing Partner of The Agency Charlotte, joined by dedicated volunteers Ashley Rodriguez, Taylor Hall, Tim Kiene, Lauren Brock, Tyler Miller, Allison Causey, Alicia Albano, Brittany Turner, and Grace Walser. Thanks to the generous support of sponsors, this team raised nearly $6,000, highlighting its mission to give back to the community it represents.
“We’re incredibly proud of our team’s efforts during our recent Giveback Homes volunteer day,” noted Abigail as she reflected on the day. “It was an honor to come together to paint and prime the walls and ceilings for this resident and her family, contributing to a beautiful new home that will soon be filled with memories. The experience was truly inspiring, and we feel so grateful to have been part of such a meaningful initiative. We’re already looking forward to next year’s Giveback Build Day and the opportunity to support this amazing cause again.”
As the fresh primer dried on the walls and ceilings, the moment marked the beginning of a new chapter for the home’s soon-to-be residents, who were brimming with excitement for the future. The Agency Charlotte team left with a renewed sense of purpose and a commitment to continue this tradition.
