The Agency Scottsdale joined forces with Giveback Homes and Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona for an inspiring Build Day at the Alta Vista project in South Phoenix. The day began early, with volunteers gathering to contribute their time and energy to this meaningful initiative. The Alta Vista project will bring 25 new homes to the area, creating not just houses but a true community where families can build their futures together.
Volunteers included The Agency’s Beth Schindler, Tricia Gillespie, Kevin Owens, Debbie Sinani, Byron Kline, Cristina Lopez and Allison Cahill, as well as employees from Carollo, an engineering firm. They worked alongside the future homeowners, who contributed sweat equity toward achieving their dream of homeownership.
The Agency Scottsdale had already played a vital role in supporting this initiative by organizing two fundraisers earlier in the year, Pedal for a Purpose and Sunset Yoga, raising over $5,000 to contribute to the cause. Committee members Kevin Owens, Tricia Gillespie, Byron Kline, Cristina Lopez, Erin Riley, Jamie Harvey, Amanda Malcolm, and Allison Cahill worked together to bring these events to life.
Allison shared her thoughts on the importance of this work: “Homeownership is vital to our community and to the families within our community. As the cost of home ownership has increased exponentially in the past 4 years, Habitat For Humanity of Central Arizona is making homeownership not a dream, but a reality for deserving families. I am proud of our agents who worked so hard for three months to help families in need. The Agency Scottsdale has been involved for years now, and we will continue to help each and every year.”
This Build Day is part of a broader effort to address the growing need for affordable housing across the country. Join the movement and donate to Giveback Homes today.
