Unfortunately, Bobby Flay’s star power has not enticed prospective buyers to make an offer on his Chelsea duplex.
Flay had previously listed the duplex for 7.995 million without any takers. He took the duplex off the market to retool the listing and wait for new buyers to enter the market.
However, months later, Flay just relisted his apartment with better staging and a price tag that is a million dollars less. Will there be any takers this time around?
The unit is pretty nice from the pictures; however, the price tag can be discouraging. There are 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and over 3,200 square feet of living space spread out over two floors.
The kitchen as you would expect is top of the line, but it doesn’t seem to have the character you would expect from a world-renowned chef.
Getting a peek inside his own personal kitchen, one would almost expect to see something that would have represented Flay and the way he cooks. Unfortunately, Flay’s personality can’t be found in the kitchen decor.
The kitchen does look like a work of art, but there really isn’t anything in there that would let you know that this was Bobby Flay’s kitchen.
However, the price, again, appears to be fairly high. At this point, if Flay is trying to bake in a little bit of celebrity premium into the price of his duplex, he may want to go ahead and pull it out of the oven a bit early so he doesn’t get burned.
