All eyes are on Ascaya! We spoke with Chris Beucler, President of BH Nexus and head of the Nevada-based architectural and interior design firm Blue Heron, about the vision behind the four under-construction homes on Chisel Crest Court within Ascaya’s guard-gated community in Henderson, Nevada.
The Agency Development Group, which manages sales and marketing for Ascaya, has seen exceptional interest in the community over the past 18 months, having closed a record-breaking $10M homesite sale in November 2023 at 2 Epic View Court.
Set for completion in mid-2024, these homes promise to blend artistic design with natural beauty—see our story here on the inspiration behind the homes, design considerations as well as standout amenities and interior features.
Here, Chris shares the inspiration behind these new homes, key design considerations like wind and desert sun, and standout amenities that will enhance the lifestyle experience for future residents.
What aspects of Chisel Crest’s design or concept are you most excited about? And how do you foresee them enhancing the overall lifestyle experience for residents?
I’m particularly excited about how each home’s distinct sculptural design and emphasis on natural light and open spaces will create living spaces that feel both artistic and inviting, making residents feel truly connected to their homes and the surrounding environment.
As construction progresses on these homes, have you been pleasantly surprised by any elements of the design or location?
As the construction of these Chisel Crest homes progresses and the homes start taking their final shape, the individuality and uniqueness of each home really starts to make a statement as to what we are trying to accomplish both individually and as a collection of homes.
The four homes together define what can be accomplished with creative purpose and intent. Once completed the homes will set a precedent as to what can be done to not only influence a street or an area but the entire Ascaya development.
How do you anticipate the natural surroundings of the desert to influence the character and atmosphere of Chisel Crest’s street?
The mountain’s serene vistas, unique geological features, and proximity to cultural resources and urban amenities will likely create a character for the Chisel Crest area that blends natural beauty, historical depth, and modern convenience in a harmonious atmosphere. This synthesis of elements is poised to make Chisel Crest a very distinctive and desirable area to live in Ascaya.
Why did you choose Ascaya to place this incredible collection of homes?
We chose Ascaya for several reasons. But the most important reason to me is wrapped around the ability to create a special street of architecturally significant homes within a special exclusive development like Ascaya with like-minded leadership that understands and truly appreciates what Blue Heron is trying to accomplish. When the four Chisel Crest homes are complete, Ascaya and the new homeowners of these special homes will all win.
Looking ahead, what milestones are you particularly eager to see unfold as the construction of Chisel Crest progresses?
As with any home, there are specific milestones that I look forward to during the construction process. The Chisel Crest Collection is of particular interest to me as I look forward to seeing the outside of these homes take their final shape.
The creative design and architecture of these homes is phenomenal both individually and collectively. Once the outside of these homes takes their final form, driving past these four Chisel Crest homes as a collection is what I look forward to the most.
