Art and real estate enthusiasts gathered at a new Hagy Belzberg-designed manse perched above the Sunset Strip to marvel at the spectacular Los Angeles home and to view some very special nonfungible tokens (NFTs) by WhIsBe.
The property, owned by art collector and president of Los Angeles-based Colossal Properties, Phillip Braunstein features one of only four complete sets of WhIsBe’s Vandal Gummy collections in the world. Needless to say, guests were eager for a glimpse of the famous rainbow-colored bears.
Sipping on champagne, specialty cocktails, beer poured from the house tap, and enjoying an abundant charcuterie board by Charcuterie LA, party-goers mixed and mingled with WhIsBe himself as they admired his art collection displayed throughout the home. Also showcased was a bright-yellow Lamborghini WhIsBe had tagged. The lux auto was proudly positioned on the turntable within the motor court entrance.
Represented by David Parnes and James Harris, the home has been making major headlines since hitting the market. Recently featured on Mansion Global, Phillip told the outlet, “I usually like to include high-end art in my homes,” adding that there were often logistical issues with doing so. “But then with NFTs, you can have a thousand pieces of art stored on your mobile device and you could switch it into your display canvases at the touch of a finger.”
David added, “We are already getting inquiries… asking whether they can buy the collection with the property. That is possible as well.”
The warm, contemporary residence offers the amenities and experience of a luxury resort—a true tranquil paradise of architectural significance. The home is equipped with a temperature-controlled glass wine cellar, dual kitchens, two outdoor bars, Crestron home automation, Sonos sound, four-sided infinity-edge pool and a fire pit overlooking panoramic views.
Other notable details include motorized sliding glass walls, a striking runway-style driveway 30-feet above the street, an air-conditioned three-car garage, along with a 24-foot glass water feature that cascades down all three floors.
The lower level boasts a sultry and polished private speakeasy with dark leather and walnut-paneled walls, movie theater and stunning bar area while the four ensuite bedrooms upstairs are punctuated with amazing views from Downtown to the ocean.
