Alan Cumming Lists Tompkins Square Park Co-Op

by | Jun 24, 2016

headerWant to move to the East Village? You’re in luck, television star Alan Cumming just listed his co-op for sale for a reasonable $2.2 million. It overlooks Tompkins Square ParkĀ and has four bedrooms, one bathroom, and over 1,500 square feet.

Alan and his husband first bought their co-op in 2005 for 1.7 million, which is a decent increase in market value over the past decade.

Classic Charm

Alan’s Co-op has amazing floor to ceiling windows built in throughout the apartment. The windows provide a fantastic view of Tompkins Square Park that highlights the opportunity that this apartment truly presents.

Natural light pours into every room of the apartment. The kitchen looks to have been recently renovated, and the space seems much bigger than the 1,500 square feet listed on public records.

The main living areas have a nice open flowĀ and provide a bit of serenity to the apartment which provides a nice balance from the madness that is New York.

Tompkins Square Park

Located in the Alphabet City portion of the East Village, the park is 10.5 acres in size. The name comes from Daniel D. Tompkins, former vice president of the United State under James Monroe.

The park in its early stages was better known for its resident homeless community rather than its green space. Today, however, the park is a beacon for families and tourists alike.
