SOAK UP CULTURE HERE – Gala de Danza, the cultural event of the year, returns to Los Cabos April 4-6. In its seventh year, the event brings some of the most talented dancers from around the world for a spectacular three-day music and dance festival. Dancers, choreographers and musicians from 20 countries will take the stage at Viceroy Los Cabos, with the Sea of Cortez as a magnificent backdrop.
DINE HERE – The master-planned Punta Mita community will host two incredible culinary events in April.The Chef’s Table Series, held April 11-14, will welcome three acclaimed Argentinian chefs—Pato Persico, Javier Rodriguez and Fernando Mayoral—who’ll share the flavors of Argentina with a series of dinners and cooking classes throughout Punta Mita. The second, Golf Kitchen, held April 25-28, will feature guest chefs from some of the world’s most prestigious golf clubs and resorts, including Punta Mita’s own Executive Chef Pato Pérsico.
SIP & SAVOR HERE – The third annual Cuisine of the Sun food and wine festival kicks off April 23-26 at Villa La Estancia Riviera Nayarit. The international event welcomes Food Network stars and celebrity chefs for a four-day celebration of the culinary arts, featuring poolside dinners, cooking competitions and beach BBQs. All events are ticketed separately, so you can pick and choose the events for you.
RUN (OR WALK) HERE – Lace up those running shoes and join the excitement for Marathon Puerto Vallarta 2019 on April 7. If the full marathon isn’t for you, the event also features a Half Marathon and lively 5k race. The marathon begins at Puerto Magico at Puerto Vallarta’s Port Terminal and stretches past incredible ocean views to Nuevo Vallarta and back again.
GAME, SET, MATCH HERE – Professional tennis returns to Puerto Vallarta at this year’s Puerto Vallarta Open, held April 29-May 5. Last year’s inaugural ATP Challenger Tour event earned Tournament of the Year honors. Held at Parque Parota, this year’s event will feature both singles and doubles matches, welcoming players from Mexico, the U.S. and all over the world.
SPLASH HERE – Hit the balmy waters of the Sea of Cortez for the sixth annual Los Cabos Open Water Challenge. The challenging competition features 2, 7 and 14k swims that stretch along the shores of San Jose del Cabo. If spectating is more for you, cheer the athletes on from the picturesque Palmilla beach.
