Gideon’s Agency Roadshow: Lamborghini Edition

by | Mar 22, 2018

In the latest installment of Gideon Lang-Laddie’s Agency Roadshow, the auto enthusiast and real estate aficionado teamed up with Edoardo Piscopo, the lauded Italian racing driver who now serves as brand manager for O’Gara Coach’s Lamborghini Beverly Hills. On a sunny morning on the brink of spring, the pair met at The Agency’s Beverly Hills headquarters—a white Lamborghini Aventador S Coupe in tow—to talk cars and real estate.

“The Agency and Lamborghini share much in common,” Gideon said as he fit the Aventador with a custom Roadshow vanity plate. “Just as The Agency’s founders Mauricio Umansky and Billy Rose set out to redefine—and revolutionize—the real estate industry, Lamborghini’s founder, the late Ferruccio Lamborghini, saw an opportunity to establish a new standard in the luxury auto industry. He was an avid car collector, but he wasn’t satisfied with the level of performance his cars offered—so he set out to build his own. The result was the original Lamborghini 350CT, and the rest, as they say, is history.”

Firing up the 6.5 Liters of Italian supercar and embarking on their adventure, the duo headed up N. Canon Drive to pass Santiago Arana’s $13.495 million, exceptional development opportunity at 615 N Canon Drive. Featuring 32,000 square feet of buildable land and paid permits for an estate of approximately 18,000 square feet, the offering also boasts plans for a 4,000-square-foot garage. That’s lots of Lamborghini space—but not too much!

The elegant Lamborghini gracefully veered right up N. Beverly Drive, past Will Rogers Memorial Park and Mary Hellmund’s listing at 1005 N Rexford Drive. Featuring 8 bedrooms and 13 bathrooms, a pool and lighted tennis court, the property also offers the car enthusiast a gated, circular driveway and garage for up to nine vehicles. In no time, they were at the foot of Sierra Alta Way, where a Pirelli edition Aventador Roadster and matte grey 5.2 Liter Huracan were patiently awaiting at 1307 Sierra Alta Way.

Gideon and Edoardo were met by Rouja Koleva, who represents the 14,000-square-foot architectural estate alongside Mauricio Umansky, and the home’s lead architect, Cyrus Harouni. Carefully designed with gates that open to reveal three individual parking bays, the open-air auto gallery can accommodate up to seven vehicles in addition to the two in the second garage. Upon entering, towering walls of glass overhead offer a glimpse of the home’s expansive entertaining area, swimming pool and lush hillsides beyond. In short, the space elevates the traditional garage to an architectural marvel—one befitting of the $1.3 million Lamborghini collection that Gideon and Edoardo had brought to the property.

“Much like the trio of Lamborghinis parked in the auto gallery, this home stands at the forefront of innovation in design and technology,” Gideon said, marveling at the glass-enclosed living spaces from the home’s sprawling backyard. “From its glass-walled swimming pool, visible from above the lower level bar, to the incredible wine cellar, which features a 21-foot motorized wine rack that will deliver a treasured vintage to the dining room or master suite with the push of a button.”

Tune in next month to see where Gideon’s auto adventures lead him next.
