The famed Cipriani family has unveiled Mr. C Residences, its first-ever hotel branded residences, situated adjacent to the flagship hotel, Mr. C Beverly Hills. Designed by critically acclaimed architect Ray Kappe, five distinct residences offer exclusive access to the amenities and services of Mr. C Beverly Hills, including the concierge, spa, pool, fitness center, housekeeping, and the only Cipriani-operated restaurant on the West Coast.
“Our family has built success over the past 80 plus years by blending the highest level of service with unique, luxury lifestyle experiences,” says Ignazio Cipriani. “We wanted to continue our family’s legacy by launching our first West Coast residences and giving our homeowners accommodations that reflect their tastes.”
Mr. C Beverly Hills collaborated with Kappe, one of California’s most celebrated architects, who founded the Southern California Institute of Architecture and whose own Kappe Residence is designated a Cultural Heritage Landmark by the City of Los Angeles. Mr. C Residences is Kappe’s first branded project, featuring a geometric, white steel structure and sleek, clean lines. Expansive glass windows capture abundant natural light and frame sweeping views of Los Angeles. Italian designer Marcello Pozzi, who also designed the interiors of the hotel, enhanced the architecture with a collection of modern Italian furnishings and iconic midcentury American and Scandinavian pieces.
Featured this week in Forbes, two-bedroom residences range from 1,990 to 3,358 square feet, with private elevators, glass-enclosed staircases, gourmet Bulthaup kitchens, multiple terraces, custom teak floors, redwood ceilings, outdoor hot tubs and a private subterranean garage. Each offers automated entry, sound, lighting, blinds, and ambiance control. Residents enjoy carefree, turnkey living and have the option to rent their residences back to the hotel.
“After opening Mr. C Beverly Hills in 2011, we started to see an influx of long-term stays, especially amongst high-net-worth individuals from the East Coast and around the globe,“ says Bob Ghassemieh, Developer of Mr. C Residences and the hotel. “For owners looking for a second home or a place to call their own during trips to Los Angeles, we wanted to create unique, one-of-a-kind residences, bringing together a celebrated designer and architect, and continuing to showcase the unparalleled hospitality of the Cipriani family.”
Exclusively representing sales at Mr. C Residences, The Agency co-hosted the invite-only, grand opening event on Wednesday, June 21, during which guests were treated to the hotel’s renowned, white-glove service. Guests walked the red carpet, greeted by Mr. C waiters in their signature white coats and ties, and escorted to the pool terrace, where they were serenaded by a live jazz trio. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, prepared by The Restaurant at Mr. C, were served on silver platters, including baby lamb chops with rosemary jus, bacon-wrapped scallops, and tuna tartare on toasted baguette.
Mauricio Umansky and Billy Rose, Founders of The Agency, were on hand to welcome guests, who were given an exclusive first look inside the residences, where they sipped prosecco and enjoyed a detailed design tour.
