Soon, Nordstrom’s cold brew won’t be the only thing fueling weary shoppers at L.A.’s The Grove. Later this year, the esteemed French bakery, Ladurée, is headed to the popular outdoor mall, bringing their coveted macarons to shoppers in need of a little sugar rush.
Considered by some to be the original purveyors of the delicious multi-colored treats, Ladurée first opened their doors in Paris more than 150 years ago, and currently has domestic boutiques in New York and Miami and global ones everywhere from Brazil and Australia to South Korea and Qatar.
In addition to their world-famous macarons and pastries, the forthcoming space will also include an upscale hotel-style tea lounge perfect for a little post-shopping R&R. Our fingers are crossed that they open in time for the holidays, as we can’t think of a better gift for the person that has everything than a pretty pastel box of Ladurées—the Tiffany equivalent of high-end confections.
