The Agency was honored to host The AIA Awards on May 26, recognizing architects and architecture firms that have established and set the bar for excellence in their industry.
The event was held at 1709 Rising Glen, a residence revered for its own architectural performance, captured in a new viral short film and represented by The Agency’s Billy Rose and Blair Chang. “We were honored to have the AIA – which obviously could have hosted their residential awards at any venue in the city – to have selected 1709 Rising Glen as a representative backdrop for their ‘best of the best’ in the city,” adds Billy.
The evening brought together cutting-edge thinkers and designers through the American Institute of Architects, an institute that recognizes individuals and companies that are transforming cities with groundbreaking concepts and architectural achievements.
Awards were handed out to recipients who have made valuable contributions to their profession and inspired their peers with an elevated architectural style. Categories recognized work ranging from low-income housing to adaptive re-use and home renovations.
Presenting awards for Single Family Residential recipients was The Agency’s own Founder and Partner, Blair Chang. Winners included Belzberg Architects – also known for designing The Agency’s headquarters in Beverly Hills – for their Tree Top Residence in Los Angeles, SPF:a for their Double Stick Residence in Los Angeles, Fung+Blatt Architects for their Blodgett-Calvin Residence in San Marino, Konig Eizenberg Architecture, Inc. for their See-Through House in Santa Monica, Rios Clementi Hale Studios for their Nowita Residence in Venice and Lehrer Architects for their Affordable Infill In The Inner City in Los Angeles.
