Southern California is on the edge of summer, and one way to enjoy the longer days and warmer weather is to take advantage of the many outdoor music venues in the City of Angels. LA weekly named the best places to enjoy music outdoors in Los Angeles, the list including the very well known Hollywood Bowl to the less obvious music listening locations likewww.farmersmarketla.com at 3rd and Fairfax. Wander over to the patio between the hours of 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. May 29 to August 28 to listen to a variety of free musical performances.
If Urban Light was not reason enough to visit LACMA, this summer the additional perks of a red-hot jazz series, along with evenings of Latin and classical sounds will have visitors toe-tapping in delight. Many of these concerts are free with museum admission.
A great way to extend a summer afternoon at Griffith Park is by visiting The Greek Theater for live music. The Greek offers a premiere access season subscription allowing pass holders to create their own concert series.
The free Santa Monica Pier Twilight Summer Concert Series is where a lawn chair, cooler, and beach hair are required items. Kick-back in the sand while watching a concert from a video screen or sway near the stage. Whether for an evening date, family outing, or a meet-up with friends, take a night and listen the best sounds in this city this summer.
