Inspired by the Richard Meier-designed Getty Museum, and built with travertine stone from the same quarry as the Getty, 2251 Linda Flora Drive has been garnering attention left and right from luxury publications.
The 10,000 square-foot estate is currently featured in the May/June 2014 edition of Robb Report Home & Style, which notes: “Making a statement proportional to its large scale, this travertine-encased residence, completed earlier this year, is as suitable for displaying art as it is for entertaining.”
Interiors California also highlights the home in their Spring 2014 issue. “Melding excess and access,” they write, “Bel Air ranks among the nation’s most prized neighborhoods. It’s here that you’ll find the Linda Flora estate. Constructed in travertine, the lavish home presents requisite Bel Air perks (the view, an illuminated pool, sweeping yards) in addition to unparalleled elements, like a glass-floor library that gives way to a wine room downstairs.”
The Hollywood Reporter recently spotlighted the stunning new architectural home as well, which they note “overlooks 350 acres of untouched land in Hoag Canyon, features a 34-foot-high central gallery with skyline, a wine room, amphitheater, swimming pool, reflecting ponds, separate lawn areas and an entertaining loggia with a fireplace.”
This follows 2251 Linda Flora being chosen as “Home of the Week” in the Los Angeles Times. See their pictures of the home here.
“The volumes of this house are staggeringly impressive,” comments Billy Rose, President and Co-founder of The Agency and a listing agent for the property. “And yet David’s design is both sophisticated and elegant.”
