In case your New Year’s resolution has something to do with eating well, consider Santa Monica’s Eat Well Week a one-two-punch to getting you started on the right track. Join more than a dozen restaurants from now until Sunday, January 11th for their specially crafted menus highlighting new healthy options made with the freshest market ingredients.
The second annual event is similar in design to the popular dineLA Restaurant Week, offering daily pre-fixe menus, but with an emphasis on healthy fare so your wallet and waistline are equally satisfied. How does handmade organic butternut squash tortellini and fresh ricotta (Al Mare, Santa Monica Pier), California local sea bass (Ocean and Vine, Ocean avenue), or roasted and braised lamb loin (Lago, Arizona Avenue) sound? And if you like what you taste, why not shop where the chefs do at the acclaimed Santa Monica Farmer’s Market, which runs every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. In addition to helping support local growers, you’ll be well on your way to living a healthier 2014.

And be sure to check back on our blog for when California Restaurant Month hits Manhattan Beach, a town quickly becoming as known for its culinary scene as it is for its oceanside homes. We’ll keep you updated on the inaugural event, dineMB, including all the chefs who will be preparing special meals.
