With world-famous shows, stylish nightlife, high-roller casino tables, a golf course, its own Ferrari dealership, two great pools and 50+ stories of impeccably decorated rooms, The Wynn stands out from other casino-hotels in Las Vegas. The sleek black-and-gold tower opened in 2005 and offers spacious, luxe rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows and amazing views of the Strip. This is without a doubt one of the classiest resorts in Las Vegas.
3. Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas
The service at the Four Seasons is incredible; the staff anticipate your every need and pride themselves on going out of their way to help. This is also an extremely children-friendly hotel – a plus for many adults who want some alone-time on vacation. The Sunrise/Sunset suites feature 180-degree views of Las Vegas and the surrounding mountains, and people rave about the full-service Four Seasons Spa.
Three years younger than its sister property, the Wynn, Encore’s rooms are a little bigger and more contemporary and the price tags are subsequently a little higher. Their popular XS Nightclub is architecturally designed to mimic the curves of the human form – if you really want to splurge, try their $10,000 Ono cocktail. Plus, in addition to Encore’s own fantastic spa and amenities, you get to enjoy all the shows, clubs, restaurants and other amenities of the Wynn.
Palms is another popular casino-hotel and tower located near, but off, the main Strip. The resort is styled in a modern, neo-retro fashion and features its very own recording studio. The premium suites range from $500 to more than $35,000 per night, with all sorts of over-the-top amenities. For $25,000, you can enjoy the Hardwood Suite, where you’ll be treated to your own half-basketball court, complete with scoreboard and NBA-sized Murphy beds (cheerleaders come with an extra fee). For a more low-key but even more luxurious affair, try Palms Place, a boutique hotel affiliated with but comfortably removed from the louder, busier Palms Casino Resort.
6. Aria
Rising above CityCenter, Aria is a sleek 61-storey, 4,004-room hotel and casino with its convention center, spa, pools and more than a dozen restaurants. The rooms are elegant and contemporary, with floor-to-ceiling windows and tasteful amenities. The mega-resort also features 3 teardrop-shaped pools, a Cirque du Soleil theater and a chic social scene.
The Bellagio name comes with a history of sumptuous glitz and glamour. From the iconic dancing fountains to Cirque du Soliel’s O and the high-roller’s casino, the Bellagio is a must-stop for those seeking out the ultimate Las Vegas experience. There are plenty of dining options, plus an adults-only pool (the Cyprus Poll) with chilled towels, cabanas and misters.
8. The Palazzo
The newer, slimmer sister property to the Venetian, the Palazzo specializes in group affairs. Their huge guest suites offer all sorts of amenities – angora wool throws, marble baths, sunken lounge areas – and most are larger than your typical penthouse apartment. For a true luxury experience, try their Prestige suites, where you’ll be treated to a champagne check-in and a personal concierge.
9. The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas
The dual towers of this luxe hotel and casino have become an icon of the Las Vegas skyline. The Cosmopolitan is epic, from its 3-storey chandelier with a multi-level bar tucked inside to its grandiose pools and spas, to more than 12 celebrity restaurants (try Eric Bromberg’s Blue Ribbon or José Andrés’s China Poblano). Then there’s the casino – a stylish 100,000-square-foot space overlooking the Strip.
10. The Venetian
The Venetian is a fantastical world unto itself, with seemingly endless casinos, high-end retail, popular dining in a replica San Marcos Square, live entertainment and an actual reenactment of the Venetian Grand Canal complete with gondolas and singing gondoliers. The hotel itself was constructed of green stone from the Italian Alps and features luxurious rooms with sunken living rooms and elegant marble baths with Roman tubs. If you want play Emperor for a weekend, this is your resort.
