When it came time to choose a home embodying all the finer things in life for Derrick Rose’s latest commercial, Adidas wanted none other than The Agency’s listing at 1232 Sunset Plaza to share the spotlight with the NBA star.
Shot from the rear of the estate’s 10,000-square foot Main Residence, the new spot, entitled “Basketball is Everything,” depicts Rose as the master of his domain standing alongside a zero-edge, infinity pool while overlooking panoramic views of Los Angeles. With its floor-to-ceiling glass walls and clean edges, the home’s warm, California modern style is put front and center.
It’s not hard for us to imagine Rose feeling right at home at 1232 Sunset Plaza, where luxury, autonomy, and privacy is held to the highest standard. Entertaining guests on the elevated patio deck, going over game footage in the private screening room, and getting in a workout in the property’s Wellness Center are all activities that we can picture an athlete of Rose’s calibre appreciating.
Throughout the one minute spot, viewers watch a series of glamorous, day-in-the-life events for the Chicago Bulls point guard (celebrating his birthday at a club, shopping at high-end jewelry stores, taking part in a music video shoot) as he contemplates what life would be like without all the fame and glory. Rose missed last season with a torn ACL, but he’s looking quite re-charged in the video, especially the closing shot of him dunking all alone in what could only be described as a gymnasium from heaven.
