During one of their trips to Southern California several years back, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and supermodel Gisele Bündchen discovered a patch of open land in Brentwood that they instantly knew would be the perfect site for creating their dream home.
They assembled a design dream team of architect Richard Landry and interior designer Joan Behnke to make it a reality, and now, for the first time, the star couple is revealing the final result of nearly three years of design and construction on the pages of Architectural Digest.
In describing the feel and purpose of the home, Gisele tells Architectural Digest: “I like simplicity and coziness. I want to live in a place that feels like a real home, where you can put your feet up on the couch and just relax.” Brady adds: “Gisele and I have eight sisters between us, and there are lots of kids. We built this house as a sanctuary for our family—a place where we can enjoy being together.”
