GO HERE → FoodGPS’s second annual Fried Chicken Festival on September 15 from 4-7 p.m. Held in Downtown’s Arts/Industrial District, star chefs like David LeFevre (Fishing with Dynamite), Jason Neroni (Superba Snack Bar), Eduardo Ruiz (Corazon y Miel), and Ricardo Zarate (Paiche) will be on site serving you their favorite renditions of the fried food.

LISTEN → Live storytelling at The Moth. Called “New York’s hottest and hippest literary ticket” by The Wall Street Journal, this popular public-radio program is finally migrating out West this September, bringing to light real stories told by people from all walks of life. Catch a mainstage show in L.A. (like Zanzibar in Santa Monica on the 3rd and Los Globos on the 17th) or slams in Seattle, Portland, and San Francisco. Doors typically open at 7:00 with stories beginning at 7:30; a limited number of $16 presale tickets will be available one week before the event; $8 tickets at the door.

WALK, RUN, OR BIKE → The Lake Hollywood Reservoir Trail’s recently restored 3.4-mile loop.
Previously wiped out by landslides in 2005, the western section of the trail has reopened to reveal refreshing views across serene Lake Hollywood Reservoir and an all-new perspective of the iconic Hollywood Sign. Sunrise to 6p.m.; gates at Wonder View Dr. and Tahoe Dr.; park on Lake Hollywood Drive.
