During one special week in Las Vegas you can truly have your pistachio creme brulee and eat it, too, for each indulgent bite means one step closer towards putting food on the table for someone in need. We’re talking about Restaurant Week, kicking off this Friday, August 23 through Friday, August 30, where a portion of each fixed-price, three-course meal goes directly to fighting hunger across the valley.
With the help of Three Square, a Southern Nevada food bank, over 2.1 million meals have been provided for those in need since Restaurant Week’s debut in 2006, making this a culinary-driven event that benefits the Nevada community at-large.
Among the nearly 100 restaurants participating in Restaurant Week include popular options both on and off Las Vegas Boulevard, such as Verandah at the Four Seasons and Table 34, respectively. The LA Times recommends checking out the special menu from acclaimed chef Jean Georges at Aria, while USA Today urges you to try the Bacchanal Buffet while overlooking the pool complex at Caesar’s Palace. RAO’s, whose chef nabbed a prestigious James Beard Semifinal nod this year, is another fine choice offering courses like penne vodka, spaghetti and meatballs, or Uncle Vincent’s Famous Lemon Chicken.
A reservation is all it takes to participate in the city’s best week to eat out. You can search by location, price point (ranging from $20.13 to $50.13), type of cuisine, and donation level; for a complete list of participating restaurants and a look at their menus, visit here.
