We are proud to announce that real estate veteran Tim Swan has joined our Beverly Hills Office. With extensive experience dealing in historic and landmark properties around Los Angeles, Tim has established himself as a premier agent and advisor, with intimate knowledge of the city, both past and present.
“Tim is a community leader and an agent who has a strong appreciation for, and knowledge of, properties which exhibit architectural excellence and/or which carry historical significance,” says Billy Rose, co-founder of The Agency. “We are delighted to have him complement our growing stable of distinguished agents.”
“Tim’s energy, curiosity and enthusiasm towards real estate is contagious,” adds fellow co-founder Mauricio Umansky. “We are thrilled to have him join our team.”
Tim is recognized for his extensive experience with older/historic properties located in and around Historic Preservation Overlay Zones (HPOZ), and properties registered as landmark and/or Mills Act Status. In addition to advising on historical restoration methods, he is a proud resident of Whitley Heights (a historic neighborhood in the Hollywood Hills) and is a member of the Los Angeles Preservation Society. Tim is one of only a few real estate agents ever appointed by the Mayor to sit on an HPOZ board, an honor he received for championing “progressive restoration.” Tim represents historic properties throughout Los Angeles, from the ocean to downtown.
“We share a special piece of our city’s past,” Tim explains. “And it’s important to me that we preserve our history while promoting the improvements that help our neighborhood continue to appreciate and flourish.”
Tim came to real estate following a successful career in the entertainment industry, where he completed dozens of feature films as a Location Manager, Production Supervisor and Producer. He has represented a large number of historic properties owned by past Hollywood stars, such as Carole Lombard and Harold Lloyd, and he counts many of today’s industry players among his clients.
Consistently, Tim is in the top three to five percent of realtors nationwide by sales volume.
