Looking for last minute Labor Day Weekend plans? We’ve got your staycation covered. Start by planning a visit to THE TASTE, the L.A. Times annual food and wine festival being held at Paramount Pictures Studios this Friday, August 30 until Sunday, September 1. As one of CBS Los Angeles’ top ways to spend your holiday weekend, THE TASTE will enrich what you know about our Southern California culinary scene at a leisurely, delicious pace.
This year’s celebration includes five main events that all kick off with an opening night soiree Friday, where guests can enjoy live entertainment and rub shoulders with some of L.A.’s best chefs, mixologists, and event hosts in a more intimate environment. Saturday and Sunday will consist mostly of cooking demos, tastings and panel discussions led by influential foodie icons like Nancy Silverton (Osteria Mozza, Pizzeria Mozza, La Brea Bakery), Jessica Gelt (L.A. Times Food & Nightlife Writer), Michael Cimarusti (Providence, Connie and Ted’s) and Russ Parsons (The Times’ Food Editor). Concluding the festivities on Sunday is COCKTAIL CONFIDENTIAL where you can raise your farm-to-glass cocktail and toast an evening dedicated to the libations that have taken center stage in Los Angeles.
Be sure to secure your ticket before August 29 to take advantage of special discounted prices. For more details on events like THE TASTE happening this weekend and the days leading up to it, like the L.A. County Fair and Santa Monica’s Summer Night Series, visit here.
