Juicing has been around since ancient Greece, but it was in Venice, California, during the golden era of Muscle Beach, when pioneers in the sport of bodybuilding laid the foundation for the health and fitness revolution that would spread worldwide in the decades to follow.

A healthy lifestyle is in the DNA of Venice, but for years the only juice bar in the neighborhood was Windward Farms. Venice locals eschew chain stores, so the nearest Jamba or Robeks Juice during the 90s and Aughts could be found in Santa Monica.
Now, however, Venice boasts a multitude of juiceries – most notably Moon Juice, which serves up hydraulically-pressed organic juices and nut milks.
