The Agency’s Kofi Natei Nartey spoke with entrepreneurial powerhouse Black Enterprise in a featured article about his expertise navigating the luxury housing market in Southern California. Nartey, Director of The Agency’s Sports and Entertainment Division, not only caters to clients who come from these high-profile industries but has professional experience in sports and entertainment himself.
Whether it is a matter of providing taller doorways or countertops for the NBA star or seeking an at-home screening room for the budding producer, Nartey’s personal background allows him to better relate and assess their unique lifestyle needs.
“My clients appreciate my command of the real estate industry, and my ability to bring a level of calm to what can be a highly emotional transaction,” he shares.
In the interview, Nartey also reveals what he calls the “Big Why”—the underlying motivation behind buying or selling a home—which he considers to be the most important question to ask clients upfront.
“[My Clients’] “Big Why” is what will drive many aspects of their real estate decisions,” he explains, “I truly enjoy working with both celebrity and non-celebrity clients because I enjoy working with people. It can be just as exciting to help the newly signed athlete find a hip/modern pad as it is to help first time parents find the right family home.”
Among the topics covered include balancing both personal and business relationships with clientele, establishing trust and privacy, and even include some exposing truths about the luxury marketplace in Los Angeles that may surprise you.
