The Agency’s Billy Rose Talks Perfect Summer Weekends With The Hollywood Reporter

by | Jul 8, 2013

The Hollywood Reporter recently spotlighted 10 perfect ways to stay put and spend your summer weekends here in Los Angeles, with activities and places to go “to feed your inner foodie, romantic, shopper or sloth.”

With so many diverse offerings in Los Angeles, THR put together itineraries for all types of people and topics, such as “Art” (The Never Built Show at the A+D Museum is one of THR‘s recommendations) and “Pampering” (THR suggests spoiling yourself at the new nail studio at Montage Beverly Hills).

For the so-called “One Percenter” looking for a one-of-a-kind weekend, The Hollywood Reporter reached out to The Agency’s Billy Rose for his thoughts. Among the activities listed for high net-worth individuals include a $5,950 helicopter tour that starts at the Santa Monica Pier, crosses over Universal Studios and ends in a rooftop landing in Downtown LA. For dinner, THR says head to n/aka, where Niki Nakayama, one of the sushi world’s few female chefs, Niki Nakayama, offers a 13-course tasting menu with wine pairings that runs $250 a person.

And for those in the market for one of L.A.’s trophy properties, a house tour with The Agency is the thing to do on a Summer Sunday, reports THR.

“[M]ake like Formula One heirs Tamara Ecclestone, who’s on the hunt for an L.A. trophy, and call up a blue-chip agent to tour the area’s priciest houses, including Holmby Hills’ $150 million Owlwood Estate and $90 million Carolwood Estate (once the site of Walt Disney’s house),” recommends THR.

“We pull out all the stops — car service, bottle service — for a high-end buyer,” says Billy Rose. “We try to convey the lifestyle experience that comes with living in L.A.”

Both the Owlwood Estate and Carolwood Estate are listed with The Agency. To learn more about each home, go here and here, respectively. And be sure to check out the full article on “10 Perfect Weekends” in the latest issue of The Hollywood Reporter or download a PDF here.
