As we’ve reported before, vertical living is on the rise in Los Angeles, with more and more buyers choosing the convenience and amenities of high-end, and high-up, luxury condo homes.
The Hollywood Reporter takes note of this growing trend in a recent article on the city’s new luxury condo and apartments, and features several of The Agency’s properties, including The Ritz-Carlton Residences at L.A. LIVE, The Carlyle Residences on Wilshire 
and the two new luxury leasing developments underway in West Hollywood, The Huxley and The Dylan.
As THR reports, The Ritz-Carlton Residences at L.A. LIVE are at 80 percent sold, including a 5,798-square-foot penthouse that closed at $8.55 million, a downtown record. The 224 luxury Residences at The Ritz-Carlton are the highest homes in Los Angeles and its best-selling residential development.
THR also takes note of the recent sales success at The Carlyle Residences on Wilshire, which offers luxury vertical living and a full-service lifestyle just minutes away from Beverly Hills, and less than 1000 feet from Westwood Village. Among the available residences at The Carlyle include #2004, a 3,535 square foot 3-bedroom, 4.5 bath featuring panoramic views to the Pacific Ocean, a private, direct elevator foyer and an oversized master suite with his & hers bathrooms.
Finally, THR highlights the The Huxley and The Dylan, the two all-inclusive luxury leasing communities currently under development on the eastern edge of West Hollywood. The Huxley and The Dylan were designed by award-winning architectural firm Newman Garrison + Partners and will both feature a contemporary design that integrates street-front retail and restaurant space, landscaped sidewalk frontage, and sustainable design features to transform this section of La Brea Avenue into an active new boulevard ready for shoppers, dog-walkers and Sunday strollers.
“I’m seeing a lot of people coming out of their Beverly Hills homes and saying I want to simplify my life,” said The Agency’s Mauricio Umansky, commenting on the trend of buyers turning to luxury residential developments over traditional homes. “The reality is there are so amazing buildings that have been built that have been able to give the same lifestyle that the client from Beverly Hills is used to, and with even greater amenities.”
