FORBES has compiled its annual list of America’s most expensive homes for sale, and among the top 10 are two of The Agency’s current listings, The Owlwood Estate and The Carolwood Estate. Both homes are located in the exclusive enclave of Holmby Hills.
Of the 30 homes featured (all listed for over $60 Million), the majority are, not surprisingly, located in California and New York, as well as the city’s exclusive suburbs like Greenwich, Connecticut. Los Angeles County itself boasts six homes on the list, with the majority located within the coveted Platinum Triangle of Holmby Hills, Bel Air and Beverly Hills.
To compile their list, FORBES reveals that they sorted through listings on notable real estate portals such as Realtor.com, Trulia and The Agency’s site, TheAgencyRe.com. “And, since some ultra-expensive homes never officially hit the market, with their owners choosing to shop quietly for wealthy buyers through well-connected brokers, we included pocket listings that could be confirmed,” noted FORBES real estate reporter Morgan Brennan.
Both The Carolwood Estate and Owlwood are ‘off-market’ listings.
The Carolwood Estate, formerly the Walt Disney Property, is located on four acres with no other homes in sight, ensuring an unparalleled level of privacy and serenity in Los Angeles’s most desirable neighborhood.
