LAX Unveils Preview Of New Tom Bradley International Terminal

by | Jun 24, 2013

Passengers from around the world who travel through LAX will soon get to enjoy the breathtaking transformation of the Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT), the largest public works project in the history of the City of Los Angeles. The renovation, which we first announced back in December of 2012, is nearing completion following an anticipatory roundup of Media Previews, Gala Events, and Appreciation Day held at the famed airport.

Thousands of guests this past weekend received a chance to explore the brand new Great Hall, a 150,000 square-foot retail haven encompassing two upscale shopping rows, Luxury Island and Boutique District, along with the largest airport beauty floor in the country.

“We have leveraged Westfield’s award-winning design capabilities with the best local brands to completely transform the airport experience into the LAX travelers have dreamed of, and the LAX they deserve,” comments Westfield co-chief executive officer Peter S. Lowy.

Along with the likes of Fred Segal, Coach, and Kitson, retail therapy elevates to a new level with the addition of Bottega Veneta and Chloe, two boutiques that have never been in a US airport until now. The more than 60 premiere shopping and dining options grace the airy, open floor plan offering 360-degree views and artwork suspended from the ceilings. True to its intention, the TBIT breaks all the rules for a center of transportation, making even the most seasoned traveler feel as if they have arrived at a faraway, Rodeo-inspired destination.

The official opening date is on the horizon—for now, take a look at the most recent photos of the incredible space below and here.
