A bit from Paul Lester: I have been very lucky to have traveled the world many times over and had the luxury to live at one point or another in cosmopolitan hubs, such as London, NYC, Zurich and Paris and exotic and profound places like Kashmir in India and Madras (now Chennai) in the south. These journeys have allowed me to place perspective and value on all parts of what I do now both in work and in play!

Beverly Hills has become a home that incorporates many cultures in the mere fact that it is a destination point for people from all over the world to discover and enjoy. Living just minutes from the “walk paths of luxury”, on Rodeo Drive and nearby Robertson Boulevard, the experiences for the senses are unending.

In our business of real estate and design our travels take us all over LA. The greatest luxury, however, is to have a day when you can stay near your home (and in our case luck would have it that is Beverly Hills) and still have the fantastic and rich experiences you might only get if you planned a week vacation somewhere else.

One such perfect day might look just like this: After finishing an early morning workout at the newly redone Equinox BH it’s great to grab a strong espresso and the perfect croissant at La Conversation on Doheny Drive. Of course to shop in Beverly Hills is the greatest luxury in the world and a present or two from Kyle by Alene Too for your loved one is easy before partaking in a smart and healthy (but delicious) lunch at the Cabbage Patch on South Beverly Drive. After lunch it is just a hop, skip, and a jump, up to see the new collection at Prada Men (ask for Edwin!). From there it is a perfect transition from your shopping to high art and cool Hollywood with visits to the Gagosian gallery and a fun spin through The Paley Center for Media.

As the afternoon slowly fades into early evening take a pit stop at Bouchon, for a glass of champagne, and then a stroll onto the best Italian dinner you could wish for at long time stronghold Il Pastaio. And if that doesn’t satiate you then finish it if with a little bit of NYC in Beverly Hills with a cocktail and live jazz at The Honor Bar!
