The Wall Street Journal‘s weekly luxury real estate section, “Mansion,” takes a look at the growing trend of luxury homes designed for singles — aka bachelor and bachelorette pads — and spotlights The Ritz-Carlton Residences at L.A. LIVE and two of its single residents, Adam and Ryan Goldston.
The brothers, founders of the Beverly Hills-based Athletic Propulsion Labs, joined the ranks of entrepreneurs living at The Ritz-Carlton Residences at L.A. LIVE last year, purchasing adjacent homes on one of the top floors of the 54-story, five-star luxury residential tower.
As the WSJ notes, the Goldston’s bought identical apartments because they had similar objectives. “We both wanted to create getaways,” Ryan Goldston tells the WSJ. “But being close to each other really helps our company, since we often work until the middle of night.”
While the two homes were identical in space, the brothers went different routes in designing their residences. Says the WSJ: “To differentiate the two bachelor pads, the twins adopted separate design schemes; Ryan Goldston decorated his apartment in a style he calls ‘Ralph Lauren-esque,’ covering his couch and chairs with old suit fabric and buying white furniture to create an airy, light feel.”
