The world of sports, entertainment and philanthropy — and the man who stands above all others at the center of those three worlds, Magic Johnson — came together this past Tuesday night at The Ritz-Carlton Residences at L.A. LIVE for “A Toast To Possibilities,” celebrating the Magic Johnson Foundation’s Point Forward Day.
The Agency had the honor of partnering with AEG to host the event, which was held in “42G” at The Ritz-Carlton Residences at L.A. LIVE and featured live music, food from Wolfgang Puck’s WP-24 and amazing nighttime views high above Downtown Los Angeles.
Magic Johnson launched Point Forward Day in 2011 as a national day of awareness and action for HIV/AIDS. Across the country, the Foundation partners with local communities to host free confidential testing events on or around November 7.
“An event like this, which brings so many exceptional people together for such an important cause, all while showcasing a world-class property like The Ritz-Carlton Residences at L.A. LIVE, is what The Agency is all about,” said Kofi Natei Nartey, Director of the Sports and Entertainment Division at The Agency.
“Magic is one of the giants of sports, but it’s his phenomenal work over the past 21 years of empowering urban communities, promoting education and raising HIV/AIDS awareness that truly stands out above all he’s done both on and off the court. The Agency is truly honored to have had the opportunity to team with Magic and help raise awareness and money for his Foundation.”
Joining Magic Johnson at “A Toast To Possibilities” were a number of the Foundations’ top donors and supporters, athletes, entertainers, and members of The Agency, including co-founders Mauricio Umansky and Billy Rose.
