The Agency’s CEO and co-founder Mauricio Umansky, along with Angeleno magazine’s six other ultimate “Modern Men” of 2012, were the guest of honors at this year’s Modern Man Event held at the London Hotel.
Featuring live music, casino games, signature cocktails, and even straight-edge shaves, shoe shines and a putting green, the event was a fun, stylish tribute to L.A.’s most fashionable and influential tastemakers.
The 2012 Angeleno Modern Men of 2012 include: The Agency’s Mauricio Umansky; LA Opera’s virtuosic baritone, Ildebrando D’Arcangelo, Cadillac pitchman Ross Thomas, jewelry designer Jannik Olander, The Shave owner Vinnie Malcolm, shoe designer George Glasgow Jr., and “Million Dollar Rooms” star Carter Oosterhouse.
Each Modern Man hosted their own dedicated area and served as an ambassador for his sponsored brand. Appropriately, Mauricio was sponsored by Ketel One Vodka, because, as he revealed, “Ketel One on the rocks with olives” is the one drink he can’t live without.
All guests got to enjoy an exclusive scotch tasting by Johnnie Walker, cubano-style cigar rolling, massages by Burke Williams, roulette and black jack gaming tables, Cocktails by Ketel One, Peroni and Blind Barber, Hors d’oeuvres by Gordon Ramsey at the London, Tamales and Ceviche by Mercado. Other highlights included racing Cadillac simulators and a putting green by Trump National Golf Club.
Mauricio was joined by his wife Kyle Richards, star of Bravo TV’s hit show, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Luke Reichle was the host of the event’s red carpet and identified the strengths of the Modern Men in attendance. Luke is a top Hollywood fashion and costume designer, currently working as the costume designer on ABC’s hit show Castle, as well as the host and creator of his own show, “Secrets of the Red Carpet,” on www.empowerme.tv.
