The Wall Street Journal knows what we have long known — global is the new local in luxury real estate — and starting this Friday, the newspaper will dedicate an entire stand-alone weekly section to the ever-expanding worldwide market. Entitled “Mansion,” the section will offer comprehensive stories from a global team of journalists and appear every Friday in the WSJ‘s U.S. edition, with select content appearing each week in the newspaper’s Europe and Asia editions. Select stories will also be published online on WSJ.com’s Chinese, Japanese and German-language editions.
The property-focused coverage of Mansion will include in-depth articles on topics such as high-end financing, iconic buildings and renovations, distinctive neighborhoods around the world and unique perspectives from select residences.
Along with the launch of Mansion, WSJ.com will also unveil an enhanced online experience on Friday at WSJ.com/RealEstate. A dedicated page for Mansion will have all slideshows, including House of the Day, as well as videos and articles exploring the world of high-end homes.
In conjunction with launch, WSJÂ real estate reporter Lauren Schuker Blum will host a chat Friday at 1:30 p.m. EST on WSJ.com to discuss how the luxury-home market is being redefined.
