The View From Atop New York’s Tallest Residential Building

by | Sep 19, 2012

Alexei Barrionuevo, who covers New York’s high-end real estate market for the The New York Times, offers an exclusive look at the tallest residential building in the city, One57. With stunning views that extend from Central Park to beyond the Bronx, the 1000-foot high residential tower — designed by French architect Christian de Portzampark — is scheduled to be completed by early 2014 and will claim some of the world’s wealthiest individuals as its residents.

An apartment at One57 has already sold for $90 Million and another is reportedly in contract for well over $90 Million. Based on the priceless views shown in the video above, we’d say a home at One57 is worth every single penny. Now, if only we had the 9 billion pennies needed to join the ranks of the billionaires living there.

As Barrionuevo notes, One57 has set off a tall building arms race in New York, where the highest end of the high-end luxury market is in overdrive. While One57 can lay claim to its “highest” ranking now, in just three years 432 Park Avenue will soar even higher.
