10 Summer Activities On The Hudson River Park

Do you find yourself longing for fresh air this summer? Thankfully, the Hudson River Park in TriBeCa has an abundant amount of activities. Here are 10 exciting adventures so you will never find yourself bored.

1. SkateboardingSkateboardingIf you’ve been itching to try out skateboarding yourself or wish to see other amateurs and professional skateboarders catch some air, swing by the TriBeCa Skatepark at the cross of N. Moore St and Pier 25.

2. Basketball BasketballStop into one of three basketball courts for a pick-up game day or night. There will likely be a lively bunch of players looking for a casual game.

3. RollerbladingrollerbladeWhether you are looking for a leisurely method to meander through the park or you need to dash up 10 streets North, rollerblading is a perfect way to reach your destination while enjoying the view.

4. TrapezeTrapezeBring out your wild side and go to the Trapeze School in Greenwich Village. Designed for laymen as well as aspiring trapeze artists, this trapeze school is assured to get you hooked on the thrill of flying through the air.

5. Dog ParksDog ParkRemember that you’re not the only one who craves some space and fresh air in these heated New York summers! Take your little furry fellas to the dog parks along the river to absorb the sea breeze and run free.

6. Children’s ActivitiesPlaygroundFor parents: It’s impossible to walk along the Hudson River Park when your children are tugging on your arm to go into the water play area or onto the carousel. These fun, child-friendly aspects of the park are wonderful ways to break away from the bustle of the city-life.

7. Mini GolfMini GolfAny and all ages can enjoy a game of mini golf on Pier 25, Manhattan’s only 18-hole course!

8. KayakKayakTo escape the stifling concrete jungle, you can hop on the Hudson in a kayak, accessible at Pier 26 and four others along the Riverside Park.

9. BikingBikeTake advantage of one of Manhattan’s few car-free bike paths along the Hudson River Park, and go for a ride solo or with pals.

10. RelaxRelaxSometimes, all you need in the summer is to relax, and that could be an activity in of itself. There are plenty of sunbathing areas to lay in the grass along the wondrous esplanade that spans the west side of Manhattan.
